Disney/Marvel Moving Forward With 'AVENGERS 2'

Deadline has word from Disney CEO Bob Iger that they are already moving forward with development on Avengers 2. The Avengers has already earned $702 million in 13 days which likely means it will end up earning over a billion. Possibly even more than Harry Potter And The Deathly Hollows Part 2 that earned $1.3 billion. Making this the most profitable superhero film in history and could end up a massive franchise in it's own right.

Joss Whedon, the brain-child of the putting these characters together in a convincing/entertaining film will need to be signed for the sequel being worth making. Whedon wrote and directed the film which was a first for Marvel Studios to have one person having so much control/vision. No word on a release date but the hope is it will end up hitting theaters in 2015 or 2016.
