UPDATE: X-Men First Class (2012)

It looks like it's official Bryan Singer will direct the film. It had been rumored he'd take on Wolverine 2 or X-Men 4 but that is now debunked at this point. It doesn't rule out Singer eventually making the fourth installment. I'm still unsure if I even care about this project but Singer could change things.

UPDATE: Jamie Moss has been hired to rewrite the previous draft written by Josh Schwartz. Moss is best known for the screenplay for Street Kings. He also worked on a draft of Ghost In The Shell. The most interesting part is that he'll be working with Singer to develop "new mutants" for the film. Meaning we won't have the film filled with X-Men cameos which have been the series' downside. I think it would be a good move by Fox to create new mutants for the franchise. So that they won't always need to look to Marvel or the X-Men comics for new heroes or villains.

It will be a no brainer for 20th Century Fox to get Patrick Stewart. That means we'll have to deal with the digital de-aging. It's unknown if Fox will totally recast from X-Men Origins Wolverine. I think it would be smart for them to hire a few known actors.

If I had to come up with the lineup for the film based on Wolverine. I think it would end up being Emma Frost, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast and Quicksilver. There could also be the inclusion of Scarlet Witch the sister of Quicksilver and daughter of Magneto. Banshee is another fan favorite that could make the film. It's unknown but probable that Storm will also be in the film.

There had been rumors of Cable appearing in upcoming X-Men films but not Deadpool. I would assume it could be this one. They'd need to rework the character from Scott's son for it work. The Juggernaut might also show up as the film's villain. I'm still hoping for Bishop showing up as the villain/hero.
