NEWS/RUMORS (Dec 12th)

Christopher Nolan might be giving us a holiday gift with a new trailer for Inception attached to Sherlock Holmes. Hopefully this time it explains the film and gives us some footage with the other members of the stellar cast.

I've been wondering who could end up playing Conan in the upcoming remake. It looks like one of the contenders is Daniel Cudmore. You might not recognize his name but the 6"7 Canadian actor played Colossus in X2 and X3. I think he would make a great "young" Conan and I wouldn't hold it against him that he appeared in New Moon. Cudmore revealed that he was one of the people being looked at for the lead role.

Zachary Levi recently had to turn down the chance to play Fandral in Thor to focus on his show Chuck. Now he's hoping Marvel will give him a shot for a role in Captain America instead. I believe Zachary would make an excellent Bucky Barnes.

I wish them nothing but the best. I'm sure Stuart Townsend will do a good job. Hopefully Marvel feels bad and are like. 'You should be Captain America!' or Bucky at the very least. It definitely was tough to let that go.

Variety has confirmed the versatile actress Natalie Portman (Thor, Your Highness) will star as Elizabeth Bennett in Pride & Prejudice & Zombies.

Ray Stevenson may have played the Marvel anti-hero Frank Castle previously but with Thor he'll be able to get more into character than ever before. He talked to Empire about the prosthetics he'll have to wear instead of gaining weight. His character Volstagg is rather plump so Stevenson will don a fat suit for the film.

Bryce Dallas Howard has joined Matt Damon in Clint Eastwood's Hereafter. She also recently talked about not getting a call to reprise her role of Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man 4. Gwen Stacy for classic comic readers was the main girlfriend of Peter Parker for years. Even Stan Lee was shocked when he married Mary Jane over Gwen.

Sigourney Weaver talked about Ghostbusters 3 and either gave way spoilers or was speculating. She mentioned her brief appearance in the film and her character's son Oscar becoming a Ghostbuster. Weaver also mentioned a longtime rumor that Bill Murray could appear as a ghost in the film. Of course Weaver admitted she hasn't read a script so this could have been just her playing games with the press. She's played games like this previously with questions on the Alien franchise.

It was rumored that James Cameron was developing the Doomsday Protocol but it's been revealed it's actually a remake of the Fantastic Voyage. Cameron will not direct he'll produce the project.

It looks like we'll be getting a new Pee-Wee Herman movie soon. This time it will be based on his children's television show.
