Avengers could end up becoming the biggest comicbook movie and the blueprint for Justice League. Having such a large cast of stars along with a multiple amount of superheros who will all see screen time and action. Unlike the X-Men movies where the majority of the characters were only shown for cameo's sake. We'll be able to see Iron Man, Hulk, Thor and Captain America together on screen. The impressive cast as it stands includes Robert Downey Jr., Edward Norton (possible villain), Samuel L. Jackson and Don Cheadle.
Alongside the main heroes will be seeing a bunch of other Marvel heroes as supporting characters. Ant-Man who will be getting his own film could also bring Wasp with him. War Machine, Nick Fury, Black Widow and Hawkeye are involved with Iron Man 2. They most likely will all show up as well. Depending on the overload of characters Doctor Strange who has been rumored to be getting his own movie could also appear in the movie. Even if it's just a cameo to set up a full feature.
RUMORS:
Ridley Scott, George Clooney and Marvel Studios met together at dinner over the holidays. This begs the question could Scott be helming Avengers? Also will Clooney be playing a superohero? It's all speculation at this point but they would need a heavy weight like Ridley to handle the scale and cast needed for the film.
Clooney is being rumored wanted by Marvel to play either Captain America or Doctor Strange.
It was rumored that Eva Longoria was offered a role to a Marvel movie. While leaving Marvel Studio's offices she was spotting with a stack of comics which included Avengers. Wasp is a character that people believe she would play.
